British House of Lords approved Brexit Bill

London: The British House of Lords has also approved the Brexit bill making the way for Britain to leave the European Union even more smoother. It is being hoped that this bill be make into law on Tuesday after getting the Royal approval.

This approval will allow the British prime minister Theresa Maye to trigger article 50 to start the formal removal of Britain from the European Union. However, sources from Downing Street have said that it won’t happen at least in this week, chances are that the prime minister will wait till the end of this month to inform European Union about the intentions of Britain.

The bill to leave the European Union received 274 votes in favor and 118 against it, the bill was approved without any amendments. Previously the British parliament’s house of commons had also voted in favor of starting the final dialogues to leave the European Union.

The British supreme court had made it mandatory that the parliament should vote whether Brexit should be started or not. This court order meant that Theresa Maye could not start negotiating with the European Union without the approval of parliament.

Last year in June the people of Britain voted in favor of leaving the European Union in a historic referendum, 52% of the British population voted in favor of Brexit.
