Geneva: The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has warned once again that 2017 could also turn out to be the hottest year in human history.
Experts from the WMO have analyzed the date regarding the temperature in January and February and have said that the temperature of the poles remain higher than average for these two months. Temperature remained relatively high in those months in United States too due to this reason.
In Australia usually the temperature is high in January and February, this year even here the temperature was higher than normal. Experts are concerned the data shows that 2017 could be hotter as compared to the last 130 years.
Each year climate destroying activities by humans are on the rise including deforestation, release of global warming gases and out of control marine pollution. All these factors are also speeding up the climate change process and rising temperature is one of its most important signs.
WMO had also released a report in 2016 revealing that last five years have been the hottest consecutive years in history and the coming years will be even hotter. Human influence was held responsible for these changes in this report too.
Experts had shown concern that in the coming years the chances of extreme hot weather has increased by 10%.
